The story

Started because the existing options were dodgy

Yarra Gutter & Solar Cleaning started for a simple reason — every time I'd help a mate book in someone to clean their gutters or panels, the experience was awful. No-shows, sketchy ladder work, jobs left half-done, mystery invoices for things nobody asked for. The Yarra Ranges deserves better than that. People here look after their homes and they look after each other — and they're being shortchanged by trades that don't reciprocate.

So I started doing it properly. Fully insured from day one. Safe-at-heights gear, real not theoretical. Photo proof of every job, sent through so you can actually see what was done. Honest quoting — if your gutters are fine and you don't need it, I'll tell you.

"If your gutters are fine and you don't need it, I'll tell you. That's the whole approach."

Most of what we do is gutter cleaning — it's the bread and butter, and the most-needed service in this region. Mountain ash, stringybark, peppermint gums, deciduous trees — they all dump into your gutters constantly. Add storms and the occasional bushfire ash, and an annual clean is the bare minimum for most properties.

Solar panel cleaning came next. Solar uptake in Melbourne's east is huge, but very few clients realise how much output they're losing to dirty panels. Spring soft-washes have become one of our most-booked services.

Roof cleaning rounded out the offer. The hills suburbs — Olinda, Belgrave, Monbulk, Warburton — eat tile roofs alive with moss and lichen. Done with the right soft-wash method (not pressure-washing, which damages the roof) it adds years to the life of the roof and looks beautiful while it does.

That's the whole story. Local bloke, careful work, photo proof, honest pricing. If that sounds like the kind of trades you want around your home, give us a call.

How we work

Three commitments

1

Safe at heights

Stabilised ladders, harnesses where pitch demands, no cowboy gymnastics. Public liability insurance on every job — paperwork available on request.

2

Photo proof

Every job comes with before-and-after photos of each gutter run, panel and roof section. No mystery, no "trust me" — easy to forward to your insurer if you ever need to.

3

Honest pricing

Fixed quote up front. If we find something extra, we ring you before doing it. No surprise invoices, no shifting goalposts, no inflated "while we were there" extras.

Insurance & safety

The boring-but-critical stuff that separates a real trade from someone with a ladder in their ute:

  • Public liability insurance — $20M cover on every job. Certificate of currency available on request, happy to email it before the job if your strata or property manager needs it.
  • Tool-of-trade insurance — our gear is covered, so if anything happens to it on site there's no flow-on cost to you.
  • Safe-at-heights training — formal training and refreshers. Roof anchors used where roof pitch requires them.
  • Rated ladders & stabilisers — industrial-rated equipment, no rickety domestic ladders. Stabilisers on every ladder set-up to protect your gutters and fascia.
  • Fall arrest equipment — harness systems for any work above standard single-storey or on roofs over 26 degrees pitch.
  • Weather-aware scheduling — we don't work in heavy rain, high wind or extreme heat. Safer for us, better result for you.
  • Documented method statements — particularly important for solar panel cleaning, where the right method is what keeps your manufacturer warranty valid.
