“Booked Zac for our annual gutter clean before the autumn storms. Showed up exactly when he said, worked tidy, and sent photos of every run. Worth every dollar.”

“Two big gum trees over our house = packed gutters every year. Zac cleared them in one visit, flushed the downpipes and even pointed out a rust spot on the fascia. Great communication.”

Why it matters

Yarra Ranges gutters fill fast

Living in the Yarra Ranges is brilliant — until your gutters are packed solid with gum leaves, gumnuts and the kind of muddy decomposed sludge only Australian native trees seem to produce. Then it gets ugly fast. Overflowing gutters back water under your roof flashings, rot your fascia boards, blow out your downpipe joints and dump litres of water against your foundations every time it rains.

We handle the full lifecycle: a proper hands-on clearout of every metre of gutter, manual inspection of the downpipes, and a flush-test to make sure water actually runs out where it's supposed to. We use ladders with stabilisers, harnesses where the pitch demands it, and we work tidy — debris into bags, your garden beds left as they were.

If you've got mountain ash, stringybark, peppermint gums or anything deciduous within reach of the roofline (and almost every Yarra Ranges home does), you want this done annually as a minimum. Properties surrounded by heavy tree cover usually need it twice — once after the autumn leaf drop and once at the end of winter, before spring blossom and pollen start the next layer.

Every job comes with a written report and photos of each gutter run, so you can see what was in there before, what we cleared, and what it looks like now. No mystery, no "trust me." Just clean work, properly documented.

Common questions

Gutter cleaning FAQ

How often should I get my gutters cleaned in the Yarra Ranges?

If your home has any significant tree cover — and most Yarra Ranges homes do — at least once a year, ideally in late autumn after the deciduous leaves have dropped. Properties surrounded by heavy gum tree cover usually need it twice: late autumn and end of winter. Gumnuts and small native leaves keep falling year-round, so it's never really a "set and forget."

Do you do the work safely — am I going to have someone on a ladder doing dodgy gymnastics?

No. We're fully insured for public liability and we use proper safe-at-heights equipment — stabilised ladders, harnesses where roof pitch demands it. We don't do the cowboy stuff. If a job genuinely isn't safe, we'll tell you and decline rather than risk it.

What happens if it's raining on the day?

We reschedule. Gutter work in heavy rain is unsafe and the work quality drops. We'll text you in advance if the forecast looks ugly and rebook a day that suits.

Do you clean gutter guards or leaf screens?

Yes — we lift the guards, clean underneath, hose the guards themselves and refit them. A surprising amount of fine debris gets through guards over time. Worth doing properly.

What if you find damage while you're up there?

We photograph it, flag it on the report, and ring you before doing anything extra. We don't surprise-invoice. If it's a minor fix we can usually quote it on the spot.

Do you take the debris away or leave it for me?

We bag and remove all debris as part of the standard price. You don't need to do anything afterwards.
